The family of a missing mother from Queensland has announced a $5,000 reward for information regarding her whereabouts, following her disappearance in early February. Tayla Spies was last seen when her 2017 Toyota Hilux was captured on CCTV passing the Cobb & Co Changing Station shortly after 11 am.
A friend of the Spies family has publicly offered the reward, encouraging anyone with details to reach out confidentially via the Facebook page ‘Missing person Tayla Spies’. In the face of the ongoing search, police have expressed frustration due to the immense area they are tasked with covering, which stretches across 9,000 square kilometres in the Maranoa region. Detective Chief Inspector Garry Watts stated on February 22 that they are committed to working alongside Tayla’s family to locate her but are struggling with the vast terrain.
As the days go by, Tayla’s sister Rebecca has made a heartfelt appeal through social media, expressing the deep pain and worry the family is experiencing. In a touching message, she reassured Tayla, saying, “You are so loved and cherished by so many people.”
Authorities urge anyone with information about Tayla’s case to contact Policelink at 131 444 or Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000. The family’s desperation and hope for answers underline the emotional toll this situation has caused, highlighting the need for public assistance in locating the missing mum.
