Emergency services responded promptly to a fire involving two chemical trailers on the Mitchell Highway in Bakers Bend, located 20 kilometres south of Charleville, at approximately 6:30 am. According to police, a significant safety risk prompted the establishment of an exclusion zone that spans a substantial part of the highway, particularly near the Angellala Creek bridge. Authorities are urging the public to steer clear of the affected area for their safety, and residents within the designated exclusion zone are being instructed to evacuate immediately.
