Melbourne police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify eight individuals linked to an assault on a security guard in the CBD that occurred earlier this year. The incident took place just after midnight on Sunday, February 9, when a brawl erupted following a group’s refusal of entry to a licensed venue on ACDC Lane. The altercation resulted in the 31-year-old security guard sustaining non-life-threatening injuries and subsequently requiring hospital treatment. Following the fracas, the group fled the scene. In a bid to further their investigation, authorities have released CCTV footage along with images of the eight men believed to have information pertinent to the case.
