A driver is currently evading authorities following an incident in Sydney’s western suburbs where a car crashed through a fence and onto railway tracks. The event unfolded around 10:55 PM on Emert Street in Wentworthville when police attempted to intercept a white four-wheel drive that was found using stolen number plates.
The driver ignored police signals to stop, leading to a brief pursuit. In a reckless turn of events, the vehicle smashed through a fence and entered the rail corridor adjacent to Wentworth Avenue. As it became stranded on the tracks, two men were spotted fleeing the scene on foot.
In the aftermath of the incident, transport officials have begun coordinating alternative train services due to expected delays on the affected line this morning. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this case. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in locating the suspects, urging anyone with knowledge to reach out to Crime Stoppers.
