A 56-year-old woman was apprehended for drink driving after being observed driving erratically at a McDonald’s drive-through in Mornington, Victoria, around 11:45 PM. Following this incident, police arrived at the scene and conducted a preliminary breath test on the driver, which yielded a positive result.
Subsequently, she was taken to a police station for an evidentiary breath test, where her blood alcohol concentration was reported to be .149, nearly three times the legal limit. As a result, authorities impounded her vehicle, and she is expected to face charges for driving-related offences, which will be formalised through a summons. The situation has raised awareness about the dangers of drink driving and the importance of road safety.
