A tragic incident on the Central Coast of New South Wales has resulted in the death of a truck driver following a collision between two trucks on the M1 Pacific Motorway at Morisset. The crash occurred around 2:45 PM, with reports indicating that emergency services were unable to assist the male driver, who passed away prior to their arrival. His identity has yet to be confirmed.

The other driver involved, a 57-year-old man, was fortunate to escape without injuries. Authorities have established a crime scene, with specialist police personnel en route to conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.

As a result of the collision, all southbound lanes on the M1 Pacific Motorway are currently closed, leading to significant traffic congestion. Motorists heading south are being diverted at Mandalong Road, and it’s anticipated that the affected stretch of roadway will remain closed for an extended period as investigations continue.

Police are appealing for anyone with information regarding the incident to reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 or through their website, emphasising that all information will be treated confidentially. The public is advised against reporting via NSW Police social media channels.
