Former US President Donald Trump has revealed that his wife, Melania Trump’s legal team is considering suing Hunter Biden. Trump has publicly encouraged Melania to pursue this course of action, stating that recent legal battles have been favourable for him. He specifically denied any connection between Melania, himself, and the late Jeffrey Epstein, suggesting that media narratives surrounding the issue are fabricated.

The potential legal action stems from comments made by Biden during a YouTube interview, where he speculated about the Trumps’ ties to Epstein. Andrew Callaghan, the YouTube channel’s host, confirmed that Melania Trump has issued a legal demand for a retraction of Biden’s statements, which have gained significant attention online, amassing over 1.3 million views. Melania’s legal team is seeking $1 billion in damages and a formal apology from Biden.

In the letter addressed to both Biden and his lawyer, Melania’s representatives labelled Biden’s comments as “false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory.” They are adamant about ensuring a retraction from Biden regarding the video titled ‘Hunter Biden Returns’, which discussed the alleged connections involving Epstein.

In a follow-up interview, Hunter Biden responded defiantly to the legal demands, dismissing the likelihood of issuing an apology. He went on to suggest that if the Trumps were open to clarifying their relationship with Epstein, he would be willing to facilitate that discussion.

Biden pointed out that this legal confrontation is less about personal grievances and more about alleged efforts to distract from more pressing issues. He expressed scepticism regarding the defamation claims, highlighting that the nature of the alleged comments does not rise to such a serious level.

Melania Trump’s spokesperson, Nick Clemens, reiterated their intent to hold those accountable who spread “malicious falsehoods,” asserting that her account of how she met Donald Trump is documented in her bestselling book. Meanwhile, Biden’s recent remarks indicate a willingness to further discuss the topic, intimating that the legal threats are unlikely to have a substantial impact on the broader narrative.
