A member of a notorious dog breeding group has been charged with assault following a heated incident at a terrier show in Castle Hill, Sydney, on May 3. Reports indicate that the individual, along with his associates, attempted to enter the American Bull Terrier event despite being banned from previous similar shows.
The altercation began when the suspect reportedly pushed an employee in order to place a breeding banner in the show ring. When a female worker attempted to remove it, a physical confrontation ensued between them. The group subsequently exited the venue shortly after the incident.
Police located and arrested the 33-year-old man in Greenfield Park shortly after noon on the day of the event. He faces multiple charges, including affray, common assault, and trespassing. Following his arrest, he was taken to Fairfield Police Station, where he was granted strict conditional bail. The man is scheduled to appear in court at Fairfield on August 20.
