Dad, 25, suffers life-threatening head injuries following suspected hit-and-run south of Brisbane

A 25-year-old man has sustained severe injuries following a motorcycle hit-and-run incident in Loganlea, approximately 30km south of Brisbane, on Tuesday evening. The collision occurred around 5.45pm at the intersection of Kingston Road and Battle Street, involving an unregistered motorcycle that failed to stop after the crash.

The victim suffered significant head and arm injuries and was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in critical condition. Eyewitness footage circulating on social media shows bystanders assisting him while he lay injured on the road.

The victim’s father-in-law expressed the family’s distress on Facebook, highlighting the man’s young family and the challenges they face during this traumatic time. The scene was secured for several hours as crash investigation teams examined the area.

Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward, as investigations are currently underway.
