Two individuals have been detained following allegations that shots were fired from a moving vehicle in Lake Macquarie, New South Wales. A man and a woman are now in police custody after a video surfaced online, supposedly capturing a man discharging a firearm from a car window on two occasions in the Lower Hunter area.

Authorities claim this footage was recorded within the last 24 hours. In a separate incident, law enforcement officers were covertly monitoring a white Mazda CX5 parked on Burley Street in Tenambit when a male suspect reportedly fired a gun into the air. The situation escalated when the vehicle was tracked by police surveillance unit PolAir to a residence on Coal Point Road in Coal Point.

At approximately 5:15 am, a 27-year-old man emerged from the house and was apprehended by police. Shortly thereafter, a 22-year-old woman inside the residence was also taken into custody. Both suspects have been transported to Toronto Police Station, where they remain as the investigation continues.

Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries or damage to property as a result of these incidents. The police are thoroughly investigating the matter to ensure that all necessary actions are taken.
