Gorden Tallis has reignited his ongoing rivalry with the Brisbane Broncos following an on-air revelation about a confrontation with a club staff member. The former captain and premiership winner has expressed his grievances regarding the club, targeting figures such as Adam Reynolds and Michael Maguire. His recent involvement in controversy included his name being removed from a meeting room at the Broncos’ Red Hill headquarters, which stirred mixed reactions within the NRL community.

The latest twist in this saga unfolded during a match against the Titans—who Tallis partly owns—where he reportedly refused to shake hands with media manager Grant Williams. This incident added to the tension between Tallis and the Broncos.

Speaking on Triple M’s Sunday Sin Bin, the 52-year-old shared his perspective on the events, adopting a light-hearted tone. He stated, “Oh, what? I didn’t shake his hand, that was it,” explaining that while he opted not to acknowledge Williams, he did greet other club officials, including Dave Donaghy, even sharing a kiss with Donaghy’s wife. Tallis remarked that while he was being scrutinised for his actions, he felt unfazed, questioning the significance of the handshake incident. “Do you think it worries me? No, not one bit,” he asserted.

Williams, who previously worked in crisis management and joined the Broncos last year, expressed disappointment over the way the situation was portrayed in the media. He voiced concern to News Corp about Tallis’s comments on Triple M, stating that it should not have been permitted to be aired in that context.

Tallis, a former Broncos player who has made a notable mark in the league, continues to make headlines with his outspoken nature regarding his former club, leaving fans and analysts speculating about the future of this ongoing feud.
