A recall has been issued for the VTronix children’s digital drawing tablet, sold in pink and blue at Coles supermarkets from December 30, 2024, to January 10, 2025. This precautionary measure comes amid concerns that the tablet may not meet safety standards regarding button and coin batteries, which could potentially lead to “severe or fatal injuries.”

The recall notice highlights that these batteries may not be securely enclosed, making them accessible to young children. If children manage to access and swallow or insert these batteries, there is a serious risk of choking, severe internal burn injuries, or even death. Tragically, such injuries could occur within two hours or less.

Parents and guardians who purchased the tablet are urged to contact IFI Australia for further assistance. They can reach the company at 1300 522 523 or via email at support@ifisource.com, available from 9 am to 5 pm (AEST) on weekdays. It is crucial for those affected to take this warning seriously and ensure the safety of their children.
