Victoria and southern New South Wales are currently enduring their coldest weather in this cold spell. The chill is expected to persist across eastern Australia into tomorrow.
Weatherzone meteorologist Felix Levesque noted that the region will experience brisk mornings as a polar airmass gradually weakens, with high-pressure systems paving the way for clearer skies and calmer winds over the weekend.
Today’s polar blast has resulted in snowfall in various locations in Victoria, including Mount Macedon, Mount Kaye, Mount Buangor, Mount Elizabeth, Mount William, and Mount Stanley.
In light of the adverse weather conditions, a spokesperson from Sydney Airport has warned that airport operations may face disruptions throughout the day. Passengers are advised to verify their flight status with their respective airlines before heading to the airport, and the airport expresses gratitude for their understanding and patience during this time.
