Grammy-winning artist Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty to charges related to an alleged assault on a music producer at a nightclub in London. The incident, which took place in February 2023 at the Tape nightclub in Mayfair, involves accusations that Brown attacked producer Abe Diaw with a bottle, inflicting serious injuries.

During a hearing at Southwark Crown Court, the 36-year-old singer denied the charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Alongside him, his friend and fellow musician Omololu Akinlolu, who performs as “Hoody Baby,” also pleaded not guilty to the same allegations.

Prosecutors assert that Brown’s attack on Diaw was unprovoked and that he struck the producer repeatedly with a bottle before further assaulting him with punches and kicks. The confrontation was reportedly captured on surveillance footage, visible to patrons within the nightclub.

The case continues to unfold as both Brown and Akinlolu maintain their innocence against the serious allegations.
