A statue located in Randwick, eastern Sydney, was vandalised on January 24, just two days prior to Australia Day. The damage, which occurred between 4am and 4.30am, included the statue’s nose and hand being broken off, along with red paint splashed on the pedestal.

In response to this act of vandalism, police have released images of a man and a woman they wish to question regarding the incident. The male suspect was seen wearing a black jacket and t-shirt adorned with a logo, paired with dark pants and sneakers, and has black hair. The female suspect was described as wearing either a green or grey jacket, black pants, and thongs, and has brown hair.

Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the identification of these individuals. Anyone with knowledge about the suspects is encouraged to reach out to Crime Stoppers.
