Detectives in Sydney’s west are investigating a serious home invasion that occurred earlier this year, having released CCTV footage of the incident. The violent break-in took place at a residence on Fremont Avenue in Ermington around 12:30 am on February 24. Four intruders, unfamiliar to the household, forcibly entered the property and assaulted two men, aged 17 and 48, before stealing several electronic devices and fleeing the scene.
Both victims required medical attention and were transported to hospital for further treatment following the incident. The police have described the event as particularly violent and are appealing for help from the public.
The CCTV footage released shows persons of interest, initially recorded around 9:25 pm on February 23, exiting a black van on Dudley Road in Guildford. The same group was later observed arriving in Ermington in a possibly stolen Mazda CX5 at approximately 11:30 pm, just prior to the home invasion. They were seen approaching the targeted residence on Fremont Avenue.
Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
