Emergency services responded to a shooting incident at the M Brothers kebab shop in Auburn at around 1:15 PM yesterday, where gunmen fired eight shots in daylight. Three individuals sustained injuries: a 26-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and arm, a 47-year-old woman was targeted twice in the torso, and a 25-year-old man was shot in the face.

Two of the victims were reported to be in stable condition following their transport to hospital, while the younger man shot in the face is in serious condition. Authorities have identified the primary target as 26-year-old Samimjan Azari, who has previously endured two assassination attempts at Granville and Brighton-Le-Sands. NSW Police Acting Commissioner Peter Thurtell confirmed that those earlier attempts are likely connected to this latest attack.

Dramatic footage captured the masked assailants entering the kebab shop, during which one victim attempted to defend himself with stools. After the shooting, the gunmen escaped the scene in a black Audi Q7 with cloned number plates. Following the attack, paramedics were seen providing assistance to a man lying on the shop’s floor.

Investigative responsibilities have been assigned to Taskforce Falcon, a team focusing on violent crime in Sydney, which is now probing possible links between the shooting and three burnt-out vehicles discovered in various locations, including Wigram Street in Harris Park, Hilltop Road in Merrylands, and Gerald Street in Greystanes.
