A shocking incident of road rage has emerged from Whyalla, South Australia, captured on camera outside a petrol station. The footage, filmed yesterday afternoon, shows a white Mazda relentlessly ramming into a blue SUV situated in front of it.
The driver of the Mazda was recorded reversing and then lurching forward to collide with the SUV approximately ten times. Eyewitness Matthew Bambridge recounted the chaotic scene, noting that there was “a lot of screaming,” although he was uncertain about the events leading up to the confrontation. Bambridge missed the initial impact but managed to record the subsequent collisions, describing how the woman repeatedly struck the other vehicle until her own car became immobilised.
Police apprehended a 23-year-old woman from Iron Knob at the scene. Fortunately, despite the violent nature of the incident, there were no serious injuries reported, although a passenger from the blue SUV did require hospital treatment. The relationship between the two drivers remains unclear, and the woman in custody will undergo a medical evaluation before any potential charges are filed.
