In a shocking incident in Smithfield, Sydney, a couple was jolted awake when a BMW 4WD crashed into their bedroom wall around 11pm while they slept. Stanley and Chicka had no idea what was happening until the impact, which they described as feeling like an earthquake. “We thought the house was falling,” Chicka recounted, adding, “It was God that saved us because bricks were flying.” Thankfully, despite the chaos, neither of them was injured.

The BMW had initially collided with a Hyundai at the intersection of Burke and Brown streets before veering onto the footpath and crashing into their home. Witnesses reported seeing the vehicle speeding down the street prior to the accident. “There are people who normally speed at night when it’s quiet, and they race,” said Amaechi Obichare, the couple’s brother.

The couple, who had recently completed extensive renovations just two months prior, now face the daunting task of fixing their home again. Miraculously, they emerged unscathed from this terrifying ordeal, expressing gratitude for their safety.
