Body Discovered Following ‘Suspicious’ House Fire North of Toowoomba

Firefighters responded to an emergency at a residence on Strack Road in Geham, approximately 24 kilometres north of Toowoomba, at around 2:50 am today. Upon arrival, they discovered the property was fully ablaze, suffering considerable damage from the fire. It took crews about an hour to bring the flames under control.

Tragically, authorities later confirmed that a body was located within the charred remains of the home. The identity of the deceased person has not yet been disclosed. In response to the incident, police have cordoned off the area to establish a crime scene and are probing the circumstances surrounding the fire, which has been labelled “suspicious.”
