Emergency services were summoned to an accident scene on the Warrego Highway, close to the Laidley Creek Bridge at Glenore Grove, shortly before 6.45pm yesterday. Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident occurred the previous evening around 8.30pm, when a white Toyota Landcruiser, which was heading east, veered off the road and crashed. The driver, a 67-year-old man from Regency Downs, exited the vehicle but tragically succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. His body was discovered not far from the wreckage. Authorities are appealing for witnesses or anyone possessing dashcam footage of the incident to step forward and assist with the investigation.
