Authorities have launched an investigation following the disappearance of a girl from North Nowra, close to Shoalhaven, earlier today. This prompted a large search operation in the vicinity.
By around 6pm, a body was discovered in nearby bushland. Although formal identification is pending, police believe it to be that of the missing girl. An inquiry has been initiated, and a report will be compiled for the coroner to examine the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
