Bob Bryar, the former drummer of My Chemical Romance, has tragically passed away at the age of 44. Local authorities discovered his body at his home in Tennessee, with the cause of death still undetermined. Bryar was last seen on November 4, the same day he made his final post on social media.
Joining My Chemical Romance in 2004 as the replacement for Matt Pelissier, Bryar contributed to the band’s remarkable success, particularly during their hit-making run in the mid-2000s, which included popular tracks like "Famous Last Words," "Welcome to the Black Parade," and "Teenagers." He played a key role in the production of their celebrated third album, The Black Parade, before leaving the band in 2010 due to several injuries sustained while touring.
After a brief return to collaborate with the group on the 2013 album Conventional Weapons, he retired from music in 2014 to pursue a career in real estate. Although My Chemical Romance disbanded in 2013, they had plans to tour in 2025, a lineup from which Bryar was excluded. Originally hailing from Chicago, he began drumming in school bands and later earned a degree in sound engineering from the University of Florida.
