All southbound traffic on the M7 at Cecil Hills has been halted due to a truck fire that occurred just beyond Elizabeth Drive. Fortunately, the driver managed to escape from the cabin unharmed. Motorists are advised to consider alternative routes, such as The Horsley Drive in conjunction with Cowpasture Road or the combination of Elizabeth Drive and Cowpasture Road, to re-enter the M7 at Hinchinbrook. It’s reported that the truck was transporting carpets when the fire broke out, with witnesses capturing videos of the vehicle engulfed in flames.
