Billy Joel has announced the postponement of several tour dates to prioritise his recovery following recent surgery. In a statement shared on Instagram, Joel revealed that he will take a four-month break to undergo physical therapy under medical supervision. He expressed regret over the need to postpone shows but emphasised that his health is paramount. Joel stated he looks forward to returning to the stage and sharing live music with his devoted fans, thanking them for their understanding.

The postponement affects eight performances, with tickets being valid for the new dates, which will now run from November 2025 to July 2026. The tour is scheduled to resume on July 5, 2026, at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh. Notably, the “Piano Man” singer’s decision follows a recent incident where he fell during a performance of “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me” at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena, though he quickly regained his composure and continued singing.

The next scheduled performance was meant to take place in Toronto at the Rogers Centre on March 15, 2025, but has been moved to March 14, 2026. Joining Joel for some of the rescheduled shows will be Sting and Stevie Nicks. As of now, CNN has reached out to Joel’s representatives for further comments on the situation, while fans are encouraged to hold on to their tickets for the revised dates. Joel is expected to make a full recovery from his undisclosed medical condition.
