A 73-year-old man faces the possibility of being prohibited from driving until 2117 after being caught driving with a disqualified licence. The incident occurred during a random breath test in Bathurst on Sunday morning.

Highway patrol officers reportedly recognised the man as a long-term disqualified driver and confirmed his identity during their interaction. Following this, he was arrested and taken to Bathurst Police Station, where he was charged with a driving offence while disqualified. This charge marks his third infringement within a five-year span, leading to a confiscation notice for his vehicle’s registration plates.

The man was scheduled to appear before Bathurst Local Court today to address the charges against him.
