Authorities in Queensland are currently in pursuit of an armed man in the town of Kingaroy, leading to the temporary closure of schools and restricted access to the local hospital. The police action follows reports of gunfire originating from a property on Arthur Street around 4am. Prior to the police’s arrival, several individuals managed to exit the property safely.

The suspect, a 25-year-old male believed to be holding a firearm, remains at large. Law enforcement officials are investigating the incident and suspect the man may be travelling in a black Suzuki Swift, which is thought to bear false registration plates numbered 551 GE9.

In light of the ongoing situation, access to Kingaroy Hospital has been limited until further notice, and several local businesses and educational institutions have also been closed as a precautionary measure.

According to police descriptions, the suspect is approximately 175 centimetres tall, of slim build, Caucasian, with brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities are urging community members not to approach the individual or his vehicle and to immediately report any sightings to the police.
