Authorities are looking into an incident involving a man who arrived at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital on the New South Wales Central Coast with a gunshot wound to his chest. Emergency services were alerted to the hospital at approximately 7:50 PM yesterday, where they discovered that the injured individual was a 22-year-old male.
Following medical assessment, the young man was transferred to John Hunter Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment; his condition has been reported as serious but stable.
The police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this shooting. They are appealing for anyone who may have information related to the incident to step forward and assist with the inquiry.
