A young man’s death has sparked intrigue after his body was found in the water at O’Sullivan Beach in Adelaide’s southern suburbs. The 29-year-old was discovered floating near a popular boat ramp by two boys during their school holidays. While emergency services were quickly alerted and cordoned off the area, paramedics were unable to resuscitate the man, who has since been identified as a resident of Christie Downs.
Witnesses report the boys were on their way to fish when they stumbled upon the scene, which included a skateboard, fishing net, and backpack near the body. One of the boys recounted how they first saw the body, noting it was partially attached to the skateboard and enclosed by a fishing net. They immediately called for help after realising the gravity of their discovery.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s demise. Despite initial observations, police do not consider the death to be suspicious. The area was secured earlier today to facilitate the recovery of the body and gather evidence. A report will be submitted to the coroner as part of standard protocol following such incidents.
