A tragic incident unfolded near Phuket, Thailand, where a 22-year-old Melbourne man lost his life while on a holiday tour of a small island. According to Thai police reports, the young man had been consuming alcohol and had repeatedly jumped into the water before facing difficulties.
Despite the efforts of paramedics who administered CPR, they were unable to revive him. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is currently providing support to the family during this challenging time and has expressed their sincerest condolences. A spokesperson mentioned that due to privacy regulations, they cannot disclose further details regarding the situation, and the identity of the deceased man has not been made public.
