Australia’s Eurovision representative, Marty Zambotto, who performs under the name Go-Jo, has been eliminated from the 2025 contest. He participated in the semi-finals with his entry, “Milkshake Man,” along with other contenders from Montenegro, Ireland, Georgia, Czechia, and Serbia.
Despite not advancing to the Grand Final, which will feature Lithuania, Israel, Armenia, Denmark, Austria, Luxembourg, Finland, Latvia, Malta, and Greece, Eurovision expressed admiration for the semi-finalists. The contest organisers stated, “They might not be performing in Saturday’s Grand Final – but they’ve secured their positions in the Eurovision hall of fame,” emphasising that being part of the Eurovision experience is a significant achievement.
Eurovision concluded with a reminder that participation on such a prestigious platform is an enduring honour, with the sentiment, “It’s never really goodbye once you’ve been on the Eurovision stage.”
