Australian comedian and actress Magda Szubanski has recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with a rare and rapidly progressing form of blood cancer known as stage 4 Mantle Cell Lymphoma. The star, who gained prominence for her role as Sharon Strzelecki in the beloved television series Kath and Kim, shared the news with her followers on Instagram.
In her heartfelt post, Szubanski began by acknowledging the difficult nature of her announcement, saying, "Lovelies. Well. Some not great news." She expressed the seriousness of her condition but also shared that she has commenced treatment under the Nordic protocol, which she described as one of the leading options available. Szubanski conveyed her gratitude for the exceptional medical care she is receiving in Melbourne, stating, "I’m lucky to be getting absolutely world-class care here."
