EXCLUSIVE: High-Speed Crash Near Brisbane Linked to Alleged Drunken Driving

9News has obtained exclusive footage of a high-speed crash that occurred on Saturday night in Yarrabilba, south of Brisbane. The incident, which was captured on security cameras, shows a car losing control around 9pm on Huggins Avenue. The vehicle demolished a fence, sideswiped a house, and ultimately came to a halt on the front lawn.

Resident Kayden Tange described the frightening moment, recalling, "We were just inside having a couple of drinks when we heard the tyres squealing followed by a loud bang." He acted quickly to help the driver, who appeared to be stumbling after exiting the car.

The individual behind the wheel, identified as Matthew Puccini, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Logan Hospital. He expressed his shock upon returning home, admitting to having had a few drinks which he believed contributed to the crash. Puccini apologised to the homeowners and acknowledged that, in hindsight, he would have opted to walk home.

Authorities are currently awaiting the results of blood tests conducted at the hospital to investigate further.
