Dawood Zakaria and lawyer Sylvan Singh were targeted in a shooting incident while driving a Toyota Hilux on Woodville Road in Granville at approximately 5:10 PM on Sunday. Zakaria sustained severe injuries to his head and was swiftly taken to the hospital in critical condition. Reports from authorities indicated that he is not expected to survive his injuries. In contrast, Singh was shot multiple times but was admitted to the hospital in stable condition.
Two additional occupants of the vehicle escaped the incident without injury. Preliminary investigations reveal that as the Toyota Hilux turned onto Woodville Road, a gunman from a Mercedes opened fire, striking both Zakaria and Singh in the front seats.
