Aldi has issued a recall for its Coolabah outdoor gas heater, which was available for purchase between 7 and 9 May, due to safety concerns. Shoppers in various Australian states and territories are being advised to stop using the heaters immediately and return them to an Aldi store to receive a full refund.

The recall stems from a potential safety hazard where excess gas could ignite as it escapes from the cylinder compartment, linked to insufficient separation from the flame source. This poses a risk of serious injury or even death if a fire occurs.

Customers can find the model number SKYFSD-DSS6NW on the metal plate rating label of the heater. The affected heaters were sold across New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia, and the Australian Capital Territory.

For additional information regarding the recall, customers are encouraged to contact the Aldi recall helpline at 13 25 34.
