The AFL has announced the continuation of a ticket price freeze for the seventh consecutive season in Melbourne, aimed at assisting fans struggling with cost-of-living pressures. General admission tickets will remain at $27 for adults at both the MCG and Marvel Stadium, while concession tickets will be maintained at $18, and tickets for juniors aged 14 and under will still be priced at $5. Additionally, family tickets for two adults and two children will cost $54, with children under four admitted free of charge.
AFL CEO Andrew Dillon expressed hope that these measures would help families across Australia enjoy the matches, acknowledging the financial challenges many households face. He noted the significant interest in AFL, as last year saw a record attendance of over 7.7 million fans across home and away matches. The upcoming season will feature 47 matches at the MCG and 42 at Marvel Stadium.
Public ticket sales begin at midday on February 19, with AFL and club members able to secure priority tickets a day earlier at 12pm on February 18. Dillon also thanked the clubs for their cooperation in implementing this price freeze.
