A chaotic 17th birthday celebration at a holiday rental in Adelaide culminated in a substantial mess for the homeowner after approximately 100 partygoers descended on the property. The lively gathering disturbed the tranquillity of Para Hills, prompting concerned neighbours to alert the police.
Last night, officers were dispatched to disperse the crowd, with more than a dozen police officers requiring additional backup to manage the situation. According to the property owner, Arthur KC, the scene inside the house was overwhelming, with guests packed tightly, making it difficult for officers to move around.
Following the police intervention, the revellers were sent home, allowing Arthur to reclaim control of his Kester Street residence. The aftermath of the event left him with the daunting task of cleaning, amidst clear signs of a wild celebration. “I showed them around before the party; they seemed like good kids,” Arthur remarked.
The cleanup proved to be extensive; not only was the property left in disarray, but the guests had also completely rearranged his furniture—with a bookcase even found hidden in the pantry. Arthur expressed his frustration, recalling the stress of locking down his home during the raging party.
Though he is choosing not to pursue charges against the attendees, the experience has caused him to reconsider continuing to list his home for rental. “I enjoy hosting and catering to guests, but this event has certainly given me pause,” he stated.
