Residents of North Plympton are in shock after KJ Barbers was shot at, causing fear in the nearby community. The incident took place around 9:30pm, shortly after the barber shop’s staff had locked up for the night. Situated on Hewson Avenue, the establishment is surrounded by family homes and other businesses.
Despite the terrifying attack, the barber shop opened for regular business the next day, although the ongoing threat from the unidentified gunman has left locals on edge. Local resident Brett Barker expressed his concern, stating, “It’s too close to home. I don’t want that stuff happening around here.” He voiced hope that the authorities would resolve the situation quickly.
The community is now grappling with the unsettling reality of such violence occurring in their neighbourhood.
