Abandoned house engulfed in flames in suspected arson incident in Melbourne’s west

Emergency services responded to a fire at an unoccupied property on Caroll Street in Deer Park around 7am. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered significant smoke and flames erupting from the roof of the single-storey residence. The fire was brought under control by 8.13am.

The origin of the blaze is currently unknown, prompting the attendance of an arson chemist at the site. Authorities suspect foul play, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
