A man from Geraldton appeared in court today, facing charges related to the murder of 69-year-old Terry Foord in the northern suburbs of Perth. Anthony Walley has been implicated in Foord’s death, which occurred at a state housing property in Padbury, where Foord was discovered with severe injuries on Wednesday evening.

Emergency services attempted to revive Foord, affectionately known as “Pop Terry” by his family, before transporting him to Royal Perth Hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. In the aftermath, homicide detectives and forensic teams were deployed to the scene to collect evidence related to the incident.

It has been indicated by police that Walley and Foord were familiar with each other. Neighbouring residents reported that they often heard shouting coming from the property, suggesting this was not the first instance involving police at the Buchanan Way location.

Walley, aged 39, hails from Wonthella, a suburb in Geraldton located approximately four hours north of Padbury. He was apprehended at the property and has since been taken into custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for the end of the month.
