A man from Geraldton has appeared in court, facing murder charges connected to the death of 69-year-old Terry Foord in Padbury, situated in Perth’s northern suburbs. The accused, Anthony Walley, was charged following the discovery of Foord with severe injuries at a state housing property on Wednesday evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene, where they provided first aid to Foord, affectionately known to his family as “pop Terry.” Despite their efforts, he died shortly after being transported to Royal Perth Hospital.

Following the incident, homicide detectives and forensic teams commenced their investigation to collect vital evidence. Authorities believe that Walley and Foord were acquainted prior to the event. Neighbours reported frequent disturbances from the property, stating that yelling was a common occurrence, and noted that police had previously visited the residence.

Walley, aged 39 and residing in the Geraldton suburb of Wonthella, approximately four hours away from Padbury, was taken into custody at the scene of the crime. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to return to court at the end of the month.
