The St George Illawarra Dragons faced another setback as their merchandise truck overturned on its way to WIN Stadium in Wollongong. With the team yet to secure a win this season and coach Shane Flanagan under increasing pressure, the upcoming match against Manly is critical for the Dragons.

On Friday, images circulated on social media showing the overturned vehicle, emblazoned with Dragons logos, lying on its side. The club quickly acknowledged the incident, confirming that the accident occurred on a downhill bend of the M1 near Mount Ousley. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.

With a series of disappointing performances, including a crushing 32-0 defeat to the Cowboys last week, the Dragons are searching for a turnaround. Flanagan has opted for significant changes to the lineup in hopes of securing their first victory of the season. Kyle Flanagan will step in as halfback, while Daniel Atkinson moves to five-eighth, and Tyrell Sloan replaces the injured Clint Gutherson at fullback. Meanwhile, young back-rower Jacob Halangahu has been dropped due to limited playtime.

The crucial clash against Manly kicks off at 6pm AEST, as the Dragons strive to change their fortunes both on and off the field.
