She recounted the serious nature of the accident, revealing that she actually died temporarily in the emergency room before being revived. “My parents and my best friend were there to see all of it as I flatlined,” she shared, underscoring the emotional weight of the experience.
The trauma of that event has provided DeVries with profound insights into life and her priorities, shaping her portrayal of Chloe Price, who finds herself navigating complex timelines in which she faces both life and death. This new outlook has enriched her understanding of the character and added layers to her performance.
On the other hand, Telle described her journey with Max Caulfield as one of personal growth, highlighting the emotions they both share. “I get to step into my own agency as a woman and as an actress,” Telle noted, reflecting on the empowerment that comes with portraying a strong female character.
