In a rather unusual incident at Strathmore Railway Station in Melbourne, police arrested a 34-year-old woman and discovered a small python hidden in her clothing. The arrest took place around 9:20 PM on March 5. During the process, the woman amusingly claimed that she had a snake down her pants.

Upon searching her, officers found the python, which was subsequently taken into custody by authorities for safe handling. This unexpected find came amidst a backdrop of her alleged involvement in property damage at a residence in Heidelberg Heights on February 23. As a result of these events, she now faces charges of criminal damage and trespassing.

The woman has been granted bail and is expected to appear at Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on April 29. This incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of police work and the peculiar situations officers may encounter.
