Elijah Agua, a 16-year-old boy, tragically lost his life when a vehicle intentionally struck him while he was crossing the road with a group of friends in Taylors Lakes at approximately 6:55 pm on November 6. While Elijah died at the scene, two other teenagers sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and were subsequently taken to hospital.
In connection with this incident, detectives from the Homicide Squad made an arrest early this morning, apprehending an 18-year-old man at his residence in Sydenham around 6 am. This suspect is set to be interviewed by police as part of the ongoing investigation.
