Disappointing Queensland Trend

In a concerning shift, the Brisbane Broncos topped a list that no player wishes to feature on—the list of athletes who appeared in Nine’s top 50 in 2024 but have since fallen out for 2025. A significant total of 13 players who were part of last year’s rankings have been excluded from this year’s countdown.

Notably, two of these players became ineligible after leaving the NRL at the conclusion of the 2024 season. Astonishingly, eight out of the remaining eleven players who dropped out hail from clubs in Queensland, with four prominent Broncos among the most surprising absentees.
