Brent Naden, the NRL speedster and Wests Tigers centre, suffered a significant knee injury during a match against Parramatta, which resulted in a 30-18 victory for the Tigers. The 29-year-old sustained the injury in the first half after being tackled by three Eels players, prompting his assisted exit from Leichhardt Oval.

Sports physiotherapist Brien Seeney shared his concerns, indicating a potential patella dislocation along with possible ligament injuries, suggesting that a lengthy recovery awaits Naden. He was seen leaving the field without putting weight on his injured leg. Naden has struggled with injuries over the past five years, averaging fewer than 10 NRL games per season primarily due to shoulder issues.

In the same game, Terrell May and Royce Hunt made their debuts for the Tigers, alongside former NSW representative Jack Bird. Meanwhile, Josh Addo-Carr and Zac Lomax played their first match for the Eels. May impressed commentators with his performance, noted for his vigorous contributions on the field, which could be crucial for the Tigers’ success this season. Looking ahead, the Tigers will face the Knights in their next match, while the Eels prepare to battle Manly.
