New developments have arisen in the search for the missing Beaumont children, with MP Frank Pangallo revealing he possesses “startling new information” related to the cold case. The Independent MP did not disclose specifics but indicated that this information supports a third excavation at the former Castalloy factory in North Plympton.
Pangallo expressed his astonishment upon learning this information, stating, “When I spoke to this person, it blew me away. I’ve never heard this information before.” The Beaumont siblings—nine-year-old Jane, seven-year-old Arnna, and four-year-old Grant—disappeared from Glenelg Beach in 1966.
Harry Phipps, the previous owner of the Castalloy site, has been named a suspect in the case but is now deceased. This upcoming excavation follows two prior searches conducted by South Australian Police, which did not yield any definitive evidence. Although police have expressed some scepticism regarding the new lead, Pangallo insists it is crucial to investigate the possibility that the children could be buried at the location.
