A $500,000 reward has been announced for information regarding the murder of Duncan Campbell, 58, whose body was discovered near a campsite on the NSW North Coast last year. Campbell was reported missing on February 9 after last being seen on February 4 on Albany Street in Coffs Harbour. His body was located in bushland on February 12, initially thought to be due to non-suspicious circumstances, but subsequent investigations confirmed it was a murder case, now being handled by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad under Strike Force Belinda.
Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty highlighted the importance of the reward, emphasising the need for the community’s assistance in solving the crime and providing closure for Campbell’s family. Campbell, a father of five, is remembered as someone who deserved a chance at life. His daughter Brittany expressed the profound pain of living without him and thanked the police for their ongoing efforts. In support of the investigation, her husband, Lee, urged anyone with any information—no matter how trivial it may seem—to come forward to help their family find peace.
