A Delta Air Lines flight landed at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport during icy conditions, resulting in the aircraft flipping onto its back, which left 18 individuals injured. The plane, carrying 80 passengers and crew, had departed from Minneapolis and crashed around 2.45 pm local time. Remarkably, all on board survived the incident.

Passengers recounted a harrowing experience, with 28-year-old professional skier Pete Koukov describing a sudden turn of events as the plane hit the ground. “Everything just kind of went sideways,” he said, noting he saw flames and sparks as the plane overturned. Fellow passenger Todd Nelson mentioned witnessing a “big fireball” during the crash.

Despite some injuries, including critical cases involving a child and two adults, survivors generally expressed gratitude for their safety. Delta Airlines acknowledged the incident but stated that investigations are ongoing. Weather conditions at the time included blowing snow and strong winds, with temperatures around -8 degrees Celsius, potentially contributing to the accident.
